Production Supervisor

Mitrex, an Integrated solar and construction solution provider, is looking for an experienced, licensed Production Supervisor to manage and supervise staff in manufacturing products, to organize and monitor workflow and all aspects of production process to reach the production goal.

  • Minimum 2 years Technical (electrical or mechanical) College Diploma or equivalent training and experience
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in similar production role
  • Proficient in inventory control and logistics
  • Strong leadership, effective communication skills, problem solving ability, conflict management and prioritizing in a fast-paced environment
  • Electrical and mechanical repairs knowledge & proficiency required
  • Expert in troubleshooting in a high paced environment
  • Experience in Siemens PLCs & HMI machines and MRP systems an asset
  • Previous experience in automation machinery diagnosis is an asset
  • Knowledge of Inventory management, propane and electrical-powered forklifts, CVOR/commercial trucking, routing multiple truck loads, and safety certifications required
  • Results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment



  • Manages daily/weekly production schedule - adherence to labour requirements to ensure labour available to complete all required tasks – before shift and after shift
  • Provides and manages troubleshooting of the production line
  • Ensures best practices from problem solving/troubleshooting are followed as well as retained in company records
  • Advises as to stock requirements for the completion of all orders
  • Coordinates load and delivery planning activities to ensure on-time customer delivery; communicate and resolve any carrier issues as necessary
  • Maintains the appropriate staff on the line to ensure a highly efficient and effective production line to meet tight deadline
  • Ensures a safe work environment as top priority, with emphasis on training employees, addressing hazards, conducting investigations, and enforcing safety policies and procedures, updating SDS’s
  • Maintains quality assurance according to standards, manage re-work and update procedures as required
  • Maintains accurate corporate material scheduling database information and completion of production reporting
  • Ensures that staff training files & certificates are current and up to date
  • Ensures that employees have all documents and training needed to perform duties to the fullest
  • Conducts daily pre-production meetings to ensure success & safety
  • Conducts shift transition and changeover completion audits when needed
  • Pays immediate attention to all production issues and resolves work related problems
  • Supports commercialization initiatives and the capital plan as required
  • Escalates issues to engineering or senior management based upon need



  • We offer a salary of $65,000-$80,000/year based on experience, plus bonus based on performance.
